The Project
As participants in the Gator User Design 2024 Design-a-Thon, we were presented with the theme "A Healthier Future". After brainstorming different topics surrounding mental health, food, and the environment, we began to develop EcoQuest. We had 24 hours to create the concept and the deliverable, allowing me to be in charge of branding and animations while aiding in ideation and app creation.
The Approach
We believe EcoQuest is a great way for users to make a change in the world around them. The app motivates people to incorporate sustainable habits into their everyday lives through achievements and their personal mascot, earth. The user will feel a sense of responsibility to their earth, and in turn build habits.
The app was created in Figma. I created a loading page animation with After Effects. The earth logo and title were created in Illustrator. The earth idle and wave were created in Procreate as GIFs and then placed in the app. I added these to the app and helped with the details of some of the pages to create the submission.
